Online Entries for the 2018 Track And Ball Charity Turf Challenge

2018 Track And Ball Charity Turf Challenge

The Charity Turf Challenge is an exciting competition of skill that offers fans of the Sport of Horseracing a unique opportunity to test their skill – after all, racing is the “Intelligent Bet!” Racing South Africa, the competition host, will provide a list of horses that are thought to be campaigning in KZN for the Champion’s Season. Only horses from this list are eligible. The aim of the Charity Turf Challenge is to select a team of horses you feel are most likely to score points during the period of the Champions Season. In response to requests from the many fans of the competition, we have increased the number of horses to 12, BUT only the top 10 point scorers from each entry will be recorded in the final tally.

A list of all Graded races is provided and whilst the emphasis remains on these feature races, ALL winners throughout the country will be eligible to earn points (see below for point scoring system). The 2018 Track and Ball Charity Turf Challenge kicks off on the Independent On Saturday Drill Hall Stakes and Daisy Guineas meeting, Friday 4 May 2018, and finishes on the reinstated “Super Saturday” headlined by the eLan Gold Cup day, 28 July 2018NOTE: for the first time since the competion began, it will include runners from Turffontein’s Premier’s Champions Challenge RaceDay on Saturday 5 May, thus introducing a host of interesting permutations to the competition! The entrant with the most points at the conclusion of the competition will win R100 000, second placed R20 000 and third placed R10 000.

The hugely popular stand-alone prize remains on Vodacom Durban July Day, also featuring Gr.1 Jonsson Workwear Garden Province Stakes, the Gr.3 Gold Vase and the Gr.3 Campanajo Stakes, run on Saturday, 7 July at Greyville Racecourse. The prize for the entrant with the most points earned on this day ONLY, is R20 000!
